Artistic Philosophy & Intangible Heritage Inheritance

Zhang Xiaolong's ceramic art is deeply rooted in Jingdezhen's millennium-old intangible heritage. He specializes in blue and white porcelain with gold tracing, colored glaze firing, and wood-fired kiln techniques, while integrating modern artistic concepts — for example, "AI Devouring" incorporates artificial intelligence concepts into colored glaze creation.

"The vitality of ceramic art lies in adherence to traditional techniques and innovation from a contemporary perspective. My lifelong pursuit is to bring intangible heritage ceramics into daily life — a bridge connecting tradition and modernity, art and therapy." — Zhang Xiaolong

As an intangible heritage inheritor, university lecturer, and art therapy supervisor, Zhang Xiaolong achieves multidimensional "creation-research-inheritance-dissemination": teaching ceramic art at universities, founding Jingdezhen Shidao Ceramic Art Co., Ltd., and exploring ceramic creation's psychological therapeutic value.

His works span artistic porcelain — "Landscape Impression", "Autumn Heights in Longyuan" — and daily-use porcelain — "Jiangnan Rhyme", "Ancient Rhymes in New Age Series" — realizing the goal of "modernizing traditional techniques and vitalizing artistic works in daily life".
